This polypeptide is synthesized using a unique strain of E. coli bacteria that has been genetically modified to include the human growth hormone gene. The formulation includes phenol (3 mg/ml) as a preservative to safeguard the product from microbial degradation and contamination, and histidine is used as a buffering agent.
