Pharmacological category:
Selective estrogen receptor modulator
Mechanism of medicine action:
The release of gonadotrophic hormones from the anterior pituitary gland is stimulated by toremifene’s activation of the hypothalamus. To make up for the declining levels of exogenous steroids, this causes the body to produce more testosterone on its own, which raises blood levels. In order to reduce post-cycle muscle losses, this is crucial. It should be highlighted that toremifene citrate, a SERM, is a genuine estrogen blocker as opposed to aromatase inhibitors in terms of its antiestrogenic effect.
Side effects:
While Toremifene Citrate can help counteract estrogen-related side effects like gynecomastia, it may also have its own potential side effects, including nausea, hot flashes, and visual disturbances. Prolonged or improper use can result in more serious issues.
Dosage:
A dose of 40–60 mg per day seems to be an appropriate amount to start for bodybuilding. The user can choose to boost the dose and supplement it with an aromatase inhibitor if they are attempting to treat pre-existing gynecomastia. Some people start their PCT with 100–120 mg per day and then gradually reduce their dosage to 40–60 mg per day for 4-6 weeks.
