Pharmacological category:
Anabolic-androgenic steroid
Anabolic activity index: 150%
Androgenic activity index: 30%
Mechanism of medicine action:
Nandrolone Decanoate is an anabolic androgenic steroid that can be injected. It has been demonstrated to enhance hemoglobin and red cell mass and is used to treat anemia caused by renal failure. Nandrolone cannot be converted to dihydrotestosterone by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, hence it has no effect on the prostate. Nandrolone metabolizes to dihydronandrolone instead of dihydrotestosterone. Nandrolone binds to androgen receptors and also has non-receptor mediated muscle growth stimulation.
Side effects:
Nandrolone inhibits the body’s own testosterone production. Nandrolone increases prolactin production while inhibiting the secretion of gonadotropic hormones. Reduced testosterone levels in the blood and activation of progesterone receptors might cause a drop in libido, which usually returns within a month of finishing the course. It is required to utilize an antigen-progestin drug to counteract the steroid’s progestin effects. Nandrolone does not convert into estrogens. Nandrolone is not toxic for the liver.
Dosage:
Nandrolone Decanoate is administered by intramuscular injection. It must not be given intravenously. Intramuscular injections should be given deep in the gluteal muscle.
Effective dose: 200-500 mg per week.
